Mythbusters Tests Breaking Bad’s Chemistry

On August 12, Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan and star Aaron Paul join Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman for a special episode of Discovery’s Mythbusters to dissect the science surrounding the hit AMC show. Some of the drama’s most memorable moments are called into question, including Walt’s preferred method of body disposal: dissolution in hydrofluoric acid.
“I was shocked — not by what it took to dissolve a body, because we did succeed at it, but by the collateral damage,” Savage says. “Shocking, noxious, gross, disgusting…I ran out of adjectives a long time ago for what we saw.”
But viewers will not learn the secret formula behind Walt’s blue meth. “We don’t talk about drugs specifically, nor do we delve into the manufacture of them in any way,” Savage says. “It’s a family show, but that didn’t stop us from making a very funny joke for the opener, which you’ll have to watch.”

Is the TV Series The Killing Based on Twin Peaks?

After watching some episodes of the TV series The Killing DVD set, I found this show is very similar with the TV series Twin Peaks? So I want to know whether the show The Killing is based on Twin Peaks. Does anyone know? 

The Killing is based on the Danish series Forbrydelsen, which was broadcast in the UK under the name "The Killing." That series also followed the police investigation of a murdered girl and people who have watched both series say that the first few episodes of the American version closely follow the opening episodes of the Danish series. I have watched the show Twin Peaks but I don’t think there was no sense that this was related at all to Twin Peaks. 

The Killing is back to the screen now. The third season is so hot now! Have you watched the show?

True Blood Renews for 7th season

Does anyone know the differences between the TV show Game of Thrones and the books?


I know the TV show Game of Thrones is based on the books named A Game of Thrones series. I have watched the first two seasons of  Game of Thrones DVD set and now I am on the third season. But I haven’t watched the books. Does anyone know the differences between the TV show Game of Thrones and the books?
A4: I watched the books of the show and I think there are some differences betweent thess two. The show adds a few years between Robert’s Rebellion and the main storyline and ages all the child characters accordingly. The show adds several sex scenes, often as cover for exposition, and invents the character of Ros, the prostitute who sleeps with a number of characters. Theon’s sister, Asha in the novels, is renamed Yara, presumably to avoid confusion with the Wildling woman Osha. These are the differences I noticed between the show and the books!

A1: Different people have different ideas on the book and the Game of Thrones DVD set. I think both of them have its features and are worthy of enjoy and I enjoyed the both. From the book, you will know the great storyline of the story but from the DVD, you will see the great performance for the actors and the actresses. They are great. If you have time, you should watch both, I think.
